Aside from a 11 hour flight and a 14 hour flight (not including the 2 hour train ride to get to the airport and the 3 hour drive to get home) we also had the luck of experiencing a 14 hour stop-over in shanghai. i think it is safe to say that shanghai is not one of the most exciting airports i've been to in my life ('exciting' of course in relative airport terms, in which the scale of 'excitement' has very different standards). The girls proved themselves born travellers, making friends with almost all the police (there were quite a lot), cleaning ladies and shop people and running around without making a fuss for well, 14 hours. They were asleep before we even took off.
